Issan was a major cultural center in the region. The Colonial Museum of Syropolis contains the artifacts from the Delta quadrant, and provides the only known window into the peoples and places of that distant part of the galaxy as of the 22nd Century.
Issan was conquered in April 2190 by a fleet of Klingon D6s as part of the Empire's expansion into the Alpha quadrant. In May 2190 The USS Coronado led an effort to free the system.
